5 blogs of inspriational modern quilters

I do not have a "blogroll" of blogs that I read regularly. I’m always attracted by new exciting sites and otherwise I could spend all day on the sofa with my laptop on knees strolling through those blogs. But let me list some of my inspirations, it’s only a handful (for today)

The order is simply alphabetical.

1. ¼ of an inch

This blog of Tamara Erbacher is mostly about yarn crafts like knitting, but you can find also other craft ideas about sewing and I like it for its clean look

2. A stitch in dye

Her hand dyed fabrics made her meanwhile famous in the modern quilters’ world: Malka Dubrawsky is known for her wonderful sense of color and contemporary style. Her blog is bursting of creative inspiration!

3. Bumble beans

Victoria sews modern quilts while she uses mostly scraps of fabric, some of them you wouldn’t ever consider as a “modern” print (which is great inspiration) There are also some nice tutorials.

4. Film in the fridge

Ashley in Vermont creates amazing modern quilts. Can’t tell which one is my favourite. Love them all. And she has also inspirational tutorials.

5. The free motion quilting project

The question is: can one create 365 different free motion quilting designs? Leah Day shows every day a new free motion quilting design and demonstrates how to sew it by a video so everyone can easily try it on her own.

I could add more and more blogs, because I like so much, but give me a break for today and let me follow up another time with another post…

1. ¼ of an inch

2. A stitch in dye

4. Film in the fridge

Ashley in Vermont kreiert ganz tolle moderne Quilts.

5. The free motion quilting project
